Community expertise

Considering we have only four classrooms we are certainly getting a fantastic deal from our visitors today ...
First thing this morning Luke - who is studying writing full time - came to work with a group of Room 4 authors.
We have now have Allanah (ICT guru) working with Fraser ,Chris from Sport Tasman , coming to coach our Room four students in the ancient art of golf, and Craig teaching Rooms 2 & 3 Hockey skills.

All this and the wonderful skills of our teacher trainees are creating an amazing learning environment full of rich experiences for our students.

Being Active - Looking ahead

We have a busy few weeks ahead... Students in rooms 2-4 are involved in weekly skills sessions focussing on fundamental hitting skills for golf and hockey thanks to Sport Tasman , and funding from the school's operation grant. Room One are busy developing fundamental movement skills twice weekly.
We have continued the cross country training we began last term - and look forward to a great Tasman school cross country event Monday 23 May. We have invited Tasman Bay Christian School to join us for a bit of extra fun and competition.
Miniball and netball team competitions are underway and we have selected four fantastic leaders to take part in a day workshop next week being run by international skipping Champion Peter Nestler.
Next Tuesday our seniors travel to Saxton Field to defend their title as winners of the intermediate schools hockey tournament... Good luck to them all!
